Friday favorites!

Happy Friday friends!

We are so ready for the weekend over here in the P house! :)

I've been so busy lately preparing for our upcoming Disney trip!

Lists, emails with Disney special diets, making allergy cards & trying to keep it a secret from Dominick & Aidan! :)

The boys Halloween costumes came in the mail today! My monsters are gonna fit right in at Mickey's not so scary Halloween party!! 🎃

Dominick has been doing so good in hockey this season & is really loving it!! We are so very proud of him <3

Aidan is patiently waiting for his chance to get on the ice!!

The weather is so unsettled here lately, as much as I LOVE fall I am looking forward to some warm temps & possible sunshine with my crazy crew! <3

Until next time friends!

Bearing my heart <3

While I debated bearing my heart here tonight, I remembered.

I remembered that I made this blog with the purpose of documenting our journey. A place where I could fondly look back and remember how it was...the good, the bad, and the ugly. Some day I may look back and laugh at how things were or I may even cry. The fact is, I want to be able to look back and remember the little things I may forget.

We are in a very busy & demanding season of life over here. I have two very active little boys who have school & sports going on. An amazing husband who has so much going on and then there's me. I am a full time working mom, a chef, baker, homemaker, chauffer, educator and boo boo kisser.

With all of that being said, I sometimes find myself feeling as if I am not doing enough for my kids, my husband or even myself.

I could be doing more crafts, sneaking in more cuddles, being more patient, cooking more meals, staying on top of laundry, having a spotless home....the list goes on & on.

I know most days I am the best mom I can be. But that doesn't keep me from feeling like I fall short. I do my best not to compare myself to others. Facebook & instagram are usually filled with highlight reals. I know that, but some people appear to have everything put together all the time. I am not jealous of their lives...I think mine is pretty darn fantastic. I just want to know how they do it!

I see some moms at preschool and if it wouldn't make me a lunatic I always want to stop them and ask them how they seem to do it? Not be rushing into school dragging their child along so they aren't late & then rushing back to their car to get off to work. Not forgetting to bring back their child's blanket after it was sent home on Friday for a wash. Remembering to send the paper work back without a reminder.

I swear when I became a mom my brain started leaking out my ears in my sleep. I have never felt so forgetful in my life!

So moms, I ask...are you feeling this way too? Do you feel like as much as you try to "have it all together" you don't?

This too shall pass and until then...I'm gonna give myself some grace and tell myself that as much as you look like your rocking this mom thing, you too feel just like me! :)

I posted this on facebook once & I'm gonna share it here because its a GREAT reminder that I often find myself forgetting!

Until next time friends,

A week of pictures <3

So Happy Monday! :) Half of these pictures were supposed to post last week....and when I checked the blogger app on my phone realized that it had saved as a DRAFT so here we are.... :)

These pictures in no particular order are what we have been up to lately!

Enjoy :)

I feel like this one needs an explanation ;)  Aidan likes to throw his lovies, so on this night Daddy took them and put them up on the ceiling fan (dont mind the missing lights, 4 is just TOO bright) and Aidan stood there just pointing for the longest time. We def get the worst parents ever award for this one because we laughed WAY TOO HARD.
I chopped off ALL my hair!

A little bonfire with friends to keep things warm....

It was WAY too sunny for a picture #mommatried

Dominick LOVES his Uncle John! He just got back from a month in Germany and to say Dominick missed him was an understatement, he pretty much didn't leave his side!

This boy turns TWO next month and his smile melts my momma heart <3

The deer this season keep coming down the hill and eating in my neighbor's yard.

Dominick had been begging for a guitar for months because he said he needed it to sing. I promised him if he kept up his good behavior and listening he could have one. He sings with it all the time and it was so worth it! :) Here he has his lovies (he only takes these to bed) on his head and arm to help him look "COOL"

Practicing our CHEESE face for school pictures! :)

I attempted homemade french onion soup & it came out GREAT! :)

One afternoon we tried potty training on the insisting of a little boy, turns out hes not quite ready yet ;)

Sunday Snuggles!

#bigbrotherproblems

Going up in the ladder truck with Daddy! Dominick is in there too but you cant see him because the sides are high :)

We love us some books in the P house :)

This boy is doing AWESOME in hockey this year and we couldn't be more proud!

Until next time friends,
