Happy birthday Aidan!

I have been meaning to put "pen to paper"  on this one for awhile but life happened. Things have been busy and when that that happens... sadly the blog takes a back seat. But once again I plan to get back on the wagon and documenting our life <3

So lets get to it...

My sweet baby Aidan-

I cannot believe you are TWO. I feel like it was just yesterday after a few months of sadness I found out we were pregnant with you! You have been so different from your brother from the very beginning. We call you our sour patch kid :) Watching your personality bloom is one of my favorite things. You are my little sidekick and I love it. You still rock a pouty lip & your "cheese" face is bound to make anyone laugh.

You think your brother hung the moon. Watching the love you have for him makes my momma heart explode. You try to be just like him. You go out of your way to make Dominick laugh. You really like to make people happy. Your sassy, sweet and fierce. You hold your own and don't take no for an answer. You like to sing the ABC's and twinkle twinkle little star. I can soothe you with the words to "you are my sunshine" in seconds. I can always count on you for a good cuddle, your my little snuggle bug.

You like to sleep, you let us know when your ready for bed and sometimes even put yourself down for a nap :) your naps are solid and you like about 2 hours. If your not ready to get up we say you have "after nap" you must be left alone for about 20 minutes until you have the chance to snap out of your foul mood and not give us the evil eye- you get it from your momma ;)

Your so very smart, you like to count and you like to tell us your colors. Your all about cars, trains & goofy lately. Dance parties in the back seat of my car are your favorite and you insist everyone in the car dances too :) You were such a great boy when we took you & your brother to Disney! You did so good on the plane rides and you loved to go on rides at the park. I was a little nervous how you would do but you quickly put my mind to rest when we got there :) You make us so proud everyday!

Our lives are forever better just having you in them sweet boy! I cannot wait to see what life has in store for you and my heart says every year with you will continue to be better than the last. You are loved more than you will ever understand. Thank you for giving me the absolute honor of being your mommy.

I love you baby!
XO Mommy

Life lately!

Real life took over & blogging took a backseat! #suchislife

We had a fantastic trip to Disney world (I'll dedicate a post to that soon) and jumped right back into the real world! A few days after we got home Dominick came down with the tummy bug & then a few days later his little brother Aidan followed suit 😐

We have so much fun going on this weekend! Saturday I have a baby shower & then Sunday we are doing a joint birthday party for the boys! Cannot believe my babies are 2&4! 😩 #babiesdontkeep

Poor Baby was not feeling well!

My TWO year old goof ball with his birthday cake balls!

This silly boy wanted his picture with his mater!

We LOVE Christmas in the P house :)

Lunch date with my oldest baby! <3

Until next time friends,

Friday favorites!

Happy Friday friends!

We are so ready for the weekend over here in the P house! :)

I've been so busy lately preparing for our upcoming Disney trip!

Lists, emails with Disney special diets, making allergy cards & trying to keep it a secret from Dominick & Aidan! :)

The boys Halloween costumes came in the mail today! My monsters are gonna fit right in at Mickey's not so scary Halloween party!! 🎃

Dominick has been doing so good in hockey this season & is really loving it!! We are so very proud of him <3

Aidan is patiently waiting for his chance to get on the ice!!

The weather is so unsettled here lately, as much as I LOVE fall I am looking forward to some warm temps & possible sunshine with my crazy crew! <3

Until next time friends!

Bearing my heart <3

While I debated bearing my heart here tonight, I remembered.

I remembered that I made this blog with the purpose of documenting our journey. A place where I could fondly look back and remember how it was...the good, the bad, and the ugly. Some day I may look back and laugh at how things were or I may even cry. The fact is, I want to be able to look back and remember the little things I may forget.

We are in a very busy & demanding season of life over here. I have two very active little boys who have school & sports going on. An amazing husband who has so much going on and then there's me. I am a full time working mom, a chef, baker, homemaker, chauffer, educator and boo boo kisser.

With all of that being said, I sometimes find myself feeling as if I am not doing enough for my kids, my husband or even myself.

I could be doing more crafts, sneaking in more cuddles, being more patient, cooking more meals, staying on top of laundry, having a spotless home....the list goes on & on.

I know most days I am the best mom I can be. But that doesn't keep me from feeling like I fall short. I do my best not to compare myself to others. Facebook & instagram are usually filled with highlight reals. I know that, but some people appear to have everything put together all the time. I am not jealous of their lives...I think mine is pretty darn fantastic. I just want to know how they do it!

I see some moms at preschool and if it wouldn't make me a lunatic I always want to stop them and ask them how they seem to do it? Not be rushing into school dragging their child along so they aren't late & then rushing back to their car to get off to work. Not forgetting to bring back their child's blanket after it was sent home on Friday for a wash. Remembering to send the paper work back without a reminder.

I swear when I became a mom my brain started leaking out my ears in my sleep. I have never felt so forgetful in my life!

So moms, I ask...are you feeling this way too? Do you feel like as much as you try to "have it all together" you don't?

This too shall pass and until then...I'm gonna give myself some grace and tell myself that as much as you look like your rocking this mom thing, you too feel just like me! :)

I posted this on facebook once & I'm gonna share it here because its a GREAT reminder that I often find myself forgetting!

Until next time friends,
XO Jessica

A week of pictures <3

So Happy Monday! :) Half of these pictures were supposed to post last week....and when I checked the blogger app on my phone realized that it had saved as a DRAFT so here we are.... :)

These pictures in no particular order are what we have been up to lately!

Enjoy :)

I feel like this one needs an explanation ;)  Aidan likes to throw his lovies, so on this night Daddy took them and put them up on the ceiling fan (dont mind the missing lights, 4 is just TOO bright) and Aidan stood there just pointing for the longest time. We def get the worst parents ever award for this one because we laughed WAY TOO HARD.
I chopped off ALL my hair!

A little bonfire with friends to keep things warm....

It was WAY too sunny for a picture #mommatried

Dominick LOVES his Uncle John! He just got back from a month in Germany and to say Dominick missed him was an understatement, he pretty much didn't leave his side!

This boy turns TWO next month and his smile melts my momma heart <3

The deer this season keep coming down the hill and eating in my neighbor's yard.

Dominick had been begging for a guitar for months because he said he needed it to sing. I promised him if he kept up his good behavior and listening he could have one. He sings with it all the time and it was so worth it! :) Here he has his lovies (he only takes these to bed) on his head and arm to help him look "COOL"

Practicing our CHEESE face for school pictures! :)

I attempted homemade french onion soup & it came out GREAT! :)

One afternoon we tried potty training on the insisting of a little boy, turns out hes not quite ready yet ;)

Sunday Snuggles!

#bigbrotherproblems

Going up in the ladder truck with Daddy! Dominick is in there too but you cant see him because the sides are high :)

We love us some books in the P house :)

This boy is doing AWESOME in hockey this year and we couldn't be more proud!

Until next time friends,
XO Jessica
