[[ Our weekend in review ]]

Happy Monday Friends!

Hope everyone had a good weekend! We spent most of last weekend sick on the couch so this weekend was a nice of change of pace! We were all healthy :):)

On Saturday Morning plans had changed a little so this Momma got to make a SOLO trip to Wegmans around 830am and it was blissful! I got groceries and was out in about 30 minutes!

Saturday afternoon we had family "nap time" this is usually when Aidan naps, Dominick has quiet time in our bed and Mommy & Daddy sneak in a nap or catch up on some DVR.

After nap we discovered Aidan who just turned 15 months on Thursday can climb up onto Dominick's twin bed all by himself?!

LORD HELP US.

Saturday night we headed over to have dinner at my sweet hubby's fire house, they were doing a test run for Lent fish dinners that will be starting on Ash Wednesday. It was delicious! :) If your local, I recommend it! There's some awesome new dishes this year including shrimp scampi! :)

Sunday Morning Gio stayed with the little's and I ran to pick up donuts and head to the hockey rink for snack shack duty. Our hockey rink snack shack is run by the parents association so every season each family has to sign up for two shifts. Sunday morning was our turn :)

After snack shack duty got over I ran to pick up some breakfast for us from DD, I cant resist a good iced coffee!

Sunday was essentially a lazy day at home in PJS and it was wonderful ;) we had lots of snow heading our way, so home safe & sound was where we wanted to be!

We ended our Sunday with Andrea's  baked potato soup, lots of cuddles and some Orange is the New Black when the little's went to bed. I am on episode 5 and am still not sure what I think of that show yet.

We are gearing up for another busy week! Hockey, making valentines, the movies, Lowes learn to grow & a valentines date is all on the agenda for this week!

Until next time friends,
XO Jessica

Friday Favorites!

Phew- TGIF! I don't know what it was but this week sure felt like a long one. I think it was everyone getting over being sick and getting back to "normal".

Next week we will be getting back to normal a little bit more! Dominick should FINALLY be returning to hockey on Monday!! Poor little man has asthma and his cough was rough last week, in an effort to not wipe him out COMPLETELY his daddy & I made an executive decision to let him rest.

Today, I am linking up with Andrea over at Momfessionals (one of my favorite blogs ever) for Friday Favorites! :)

1. My sweet boys (obviously)

We are currently working on sharing, Dominick is not into having to share anything, especially with his brother! Tips are always welcome ;)

2. This Jimmy Fallon Clip!

If you were a Saved By the Bell fan  (which you all should be) you need to watch this clip! It was amazing. Head on over to Youtube and check it out! You can thank me later :)

3. Smoked sausage penne

Andrea posted this recipe awhile back and we tried it. OH MY GOSH. Amazing, we subbed out cream of chicken for the cream of mushroom and LOVE it. I've made it twice now!

4. Shakeology

Momma's trying to get healthy! Hoping these shakes for breakfast will give me the kick start I am looking for! :)

So tell me, whats on your favorite list this week??

I'll be back Monday with a weekend recap!

Until next time friends

Organization: In the Kitchen!

Well, its been a minute since I have been able to write a post. I had promised a post on how I organize in the kitchen and then we got sick, all of us.

And to think I THOUGHT we were on the mend! It really has been a rough winter!

I had this post ready to go a couple weeks ago but at last here it is :)

When we bought this house 6 years ago in April one of the things we both loved was that it had a big eat in kitchen!

Our house in general is SMALL and was supposed to be our 5 year plan. After 5 years we would sell the house move to our forever home and have babies. HAHA that's what you get for planning ;) We plan to list our house this year but in the mean time, momma stays organized!

I used to drive my sweet husband crazy with how organized I am. That was until we had 2 kids, 2 adults and 2 dogs in this SMALL house. He once told me the only way we survive here is because I am always picking up & organizing :)

If there was anything I would change about our kitchen it would be the lack of storage space.

We have a small pantry that my hubby put shelves in for me, it used to be home to a ironing board they came out of the wall. Apparently common in old houses :) We never used it and it was a waste of space but I found it charming.

Lack of space requires every little thing having its own space.

Our panty, home to all cereals, boxed items, canned veggies, sauce etc.

This is our snack cabinet. On the top we keep all oils, vinegars, dressings etc

Over the stove we keep all our pastas, we have a container full of rice & one of flour, kcups etc.

This is where we keep all baking supplies, seasonings etc. The bottom shelf is ALL seasonings! We like to add flavor and do a lot of cooking & baking!

Above the fridge we keep all extra baking supplies & drink mixes

Next up is the fridge & freezer. These are always stocked at any given time. We have two growing boys in our house who like to eat. I always like having things on hand to whip up any meal in an instant. if anything where to ever happen, we ALWAYS have plenty of food in the house!

And there you have it! These are just a few things I do to keep things flowing smoothly in our kitchen daily. I am always up for suggestions on how to get the most of our space, is there anything you do to keep organized in the kitchen? :)

I'll be back tomorrow for Friday Favorites!
